Giant beans stand out from other beans in terms of their size and taste. Abroad they are known as Lima because of their Peruvian origin.

The most widespread in Greece are the Giants of Prespa, which are a Greek variety and have been cultivated in the lakeside areas of Greater and Lesser Prespa for at least 100 years.

They are a legume of high nutritional value, rich in proteins, without the presence of saturated fat.

In other words, they give energy to the human body without burdening it with cholesterol and fats. They also contain B vitamins, starch, potassium and fiber.

Bioblast giants recipe in the oven

MATERIALS

500g Bioblastos giants 1 large onion 2 carrots 1 fl. chopped celery 1 fl. olive oil 1 tbsp tomato paste .

1 chopped tomato 1 Florin pepper in strips.

How to make

Soak the beans in cold water in the evening. In the morning, wash them and boil them in cold water for about 40 minutes.

Strain them, put them in a pan and add the tomato, the onion, the carrots, the puree, the oil, the celery, the pepper, the salt and the pepper.

Add a cup of water and bake on the resistances in a preheated oven at 200 degrees c for about 40 minutes until they remain with their oil.
